1. What time of the year would be the best to move?
If there is a choice, most moving companies suggest you avoid the summer, the beginning or end of the month or winter holidays. Having said that, you should move when it's most convenient for you.

2. When should I call the moving company?
It's best to start calling moving companies as soon as possible. Although the actual van assignment may not be made until a few days before your move, it's wise to give your moving company from four to six weeks' notice, if possible. The more lead time you can give, the more likely they will be able to meet your schedule.

3. My move is too expensive. What can I do?
The best thing you can do is throw away some items that you will not need at your new home or do a yard sale. Anything that you plan on throwing away later doesn't need to be moved. There is no such thing as a cheap move !!!

4. What is the best way to transport my pet?
There are many pet carriers on the web. Most of them transport your pet via airplanes. If you are moving a short distance, you might as well take the pet along with you. But, you should know that most movers will decline to move pets so they will have to go in a separate car with you.

5. How to choose the right mover?
Remember that every move is different and that you are entrusting all your valuables to whoever is contracted to relocate you. It is not wise to use a mover who is new to the business. You want a mover who has been in business for a while and who is experienced. You should ask your mover to supply you with a few references. A satisfied customer is the best sales tool for a mover.

6. How to compare costs when choosing a moving services?
Be very careful when calculating costs with a moving services. To compete for your business, the mover may price its services up to 40 percent below the maximum allowed for moving costs. Ask for a great deal and get a free, no obligation, moving estimate before choosing a moving company.

7. How to keep yourself organized?
The best way to keep yourself organized is creating lists during your move. Print out a numbered table with enough space to write the contents of each box. Also, make lists of supplies you used to keep in your former residence so you can make sure you have what you need when you have to clean. Essentially, anything you can write down will be helpful. Small things that you could normally remember will be lost in the shuffle of a big move.

8. Is moving insurance required?
Most accidents occur when you least expect them or when you're not covered for them. Your property is probably not covered for all that it is worth, unless you buy moving insurance. Keep in mind that your moving company automatically provides a valuation, not insurance. Moreover, you should research for other insurance possibilities. As well, you can look into transit insurance, which you can buy from your insurance agent or most moving companies.

9. What`s my responsibilities when I hired a moving company? There are a few things you should do to ensure that your move goes smoothly.
1. Make sure you are there for both the estimate, the packing of your belongings and on the day of the move when they're loading the truck. Speak out if you notice anything you don't agree with or that was not in your arrangement.
2. You got to know that you are completely responsible for any high-valued items such as jewelry, antiques and crystal. Make sure each is appropriately packed and marked.
3. You will be asked to sign an inventory sheet, so make sure you are aware of everything being moved. Only sign the inventory sheet when you're sure everything has been loaded on the truck. If you're not sure, ask.

10. How do I lodge a complaint, If I have a problem with a moving company?
To lodge a complaint against a moving company, there are several ways you can do it. Before you do, contact the company directly to try to resolve the issue. This is something you should ask before you hire a moving company: Is there a complaint process that you can go through? It is a good sign if they do have a complaints procedure and also that tracking customer experiences is important to them. They should also provide you with a record of complaints and whether or not they were successfully resolved.
